Our Waxing Training Course for beginners teaches you to safely and confidently carry out the most popular waxing treatments, ready to offer from home or mobile. You'll learn both the practical technique and the theory and safety procedures behind it, to an industry standard.

Course Structure

This course runs over one day from 10am – 4pm; please arrive at 9.45am for a prompt start. You'll cover the theory first, then spend the majority of the day practising. A model is required to practise your treatments on, and as you'll work on each other, please allow sufficient hair growth beforehand.

Course Benefits

Waxing is in demand year-round, with clients typically rebooking every 4–6 weeks — giving you a reliable income stream, particularly through the busier summer months, and earning up to £50 an hour. You'll learn to remove hair from the most requested areas using hot and warm wax, a quick and relatively pain-free method for clients. Once insured, you'll be fully qualified to offer waxing treatments from home or mobile.

Course Requirements

Suitable for complete beginners — no prior beauty training needed. You'll give and receive treatments as part of the course, so please allow at least 0.5cm of regrowth in the areas covered. Students work on each other, so no models are required (male students should bring their own female model). All products and tools are provided; just bring a hand and bath towel, your completed enrolment form and cold food for lunch.

What qualification will you receive?

On successful completion of your training you'll receive an ABT-accredited diploma in the treatment. This demonstrates your commitment to the training and allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance, so you can start offering the treatment to paying clients from home, mobile, or salon.
