Our Hot Stone Therapy Massage course will teach you the effective and healing massage that is used by many as a treatment for a variety of ailments, both mental and physical. Not only will you learn how to competently perform the treatment adhering to your client’s specific needs, you will also learn its history in relieving muscle-tension and the purpose of hot stones within massage, as well as the re-energising and cleaning process of stones.

Course Structure

This course is structured over one day and runs from 10am – 4pm. We ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch. A model will be required to perform your treatments on.

Course Benefits 

Hot stone therapy uses heated-stone placement to relax and heat the body, allowing the therapist to work deeper into the muscles to relieve tension. Using a range of hot volcanic basalt stones, you will learn how to provide a deeply relaxing treatment which works on a mental, physical and spiritual level for your clients. The combination of heat and deep pressure results in relief of muscular tension, with minimal effort from the therapist, and this consequently can diffuse aches and pains. Following the course, you will be able to provide this deep massage working as a massage therapist from home and mobile.

There are no pre-requirements for this course, suitable for beginners to beauty.

What qualification will you receive?

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a ABT diploma in the treatment. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home /Salon/ or mobile.
